This is one of my favorite pc games. Based on the pen and paper game Vampire the Masquerade. You play a young vampire in the modern days. The problem is that you are not the only monster out there. It is an interesting parade of monsters and nightmares and your friends aren't your friends in the conventional meaning. Awesome music, nice plot, cool sub-plots and great endings. I would like to see a third part of the game, but unfortunately this isn't going to happen. The company which created the game, Troika, closed down. 9/10
A great game that proves you can be faithful to the original material (in this case, Wite Wolf's Vampire: the Masquerade role-playing game) and still phave a winner. These guys did their homework, WW unloaded a crapload of books on their laps and they aced the test. References to anything and everything World of Darkness, great story (though not epic, but hey - how many times do you need to save the world?Sometime's a city is plain good enough) and great graphics borrowing that year's bleeding edge Source engine from freshly-released Half-Life 2.
ReplyDeleteNote to the courageous: Make sure to download the latest unofficial patch (version 7.Whatever at the time of this writing) which transorms the game from an interactive, broken screensaver to a masterpiece.
